In the latest list of Chinese-foreign Cooperation in Running Schools, Lodz University of Technology and Jimei University have jointly established a master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering for international students, officially approved by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. This marks a new beginning for Lodz University of Technology in its educational cooperation with China, particularly at the master’s level, where the university will maintain its academic standards and high-quality education.
The Two universities formally signed the Cooperation Agreement in January 2024. The program, officially approved with the filing number MOE35PL1A20252431N, is designed as a two- and three-year master’s level cooperative education program, with an annual enrollment plan of 60 students. Graduates will be awarded either a MASTER IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING degree solely conferred by Lodz University of Technology, or a joint master’s degree issued in collaboration with the Chinese partner University.

Founded in 1945, Lodz University of Technology is one of the best technical universities in Poland and has been training engineers in the field of technology for nearly 80 years. The university offers as many as 64 fields of study, a University with the broadest range of engineering disciplines in Poland, and has produced over 100,000 highly qualified graduates. Lodz University of Technology is a member of the European Society for Engineering Education (SEFI) and the only Polish member institution. It is also the only Polish university to be part of the prestigious European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU).
In the national ranking of public universities in Poland, Lodz University of Technology is ranked 8th overall. The Mechanical Engineering Program is ranked 3rd in Poland and 82nd in Europe. According to the SHANGHAI RANKING, the subject of Mechanical Engineering is ranked 301 - 400 globally. In the QS WORLD UNIVERSITY RANKINGS by Subject, Mechanical, Aerospace & Manufacturing Engineering is ranked 401 - 450. Furthermore, in the THE Impact Rankings, the university is placed in the 201 - 300 band globally.
