IMPORTANT NOTICE ON POLISH STUDENT VISAS

Starting from July 1, 2025, applicants for national (D-type) visas intending to pursue first-cycle (Bachelor’s) studies or long-cycle Master’s studies in Poland must submit additional supporting documents, in accordance with the Act of April 4, 2025, amending certain laws to eliminate irregularities in the visa system of the Republic of Poland (Journal of Laws of 2025, item 622). The required documents have been expanded to include the following:



Confirmation issued by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) stating that the applicant is entitled to apply for entry into Poland for first-cycle or long-cycle Master’s studies. Note: According to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Poland  and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on the Mutual Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications and Degrees, signed on June 20, 2016.


This requirement does not apply to applicants presenting secondary school diplomas or Bachelor’s/Master’s degrees issued within the educational system of the People’s Republic of China.




A certificate or other document confirming knowledge of the language of instruction in Poland at a level not lower than B2. Note: Until the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education specifying the types of documents proving the required language proficiency is published.


Applicants should verify with the university or relevant institution which types of certificates and/or documents are accepted as valid proof of language proficiency.
